About Hanuman ji temple
of New York

Hanuman temple of New York is a Hindu temple and community center located at Glen Oaks, New York. The principal deity of the temple is Shri Pancha Mukhi Sankat Mochan Hanuman. The other deities in the temple are Ganesha, Rama, Krishna, Shiva, Durga, Lakshmi Saraswati, Kali, Navagrahas, Khatu Shyam, Sai Baba and Jalaram Bapa.
 
The temple provides various types of Pujas based on the Hindu calendar, and religious rites based on ancient Vedic and Hindu practices. The temple serves the religious and spiritual needs of the local Indian community. Devotees who seek blessings from Shri. Hanumanji and other dieties get peace, joy and positive vibrations while participating in the festivities at the temple. The temple regularly hosts lectures and discourses by scholars and yogis. The temple serves as a community meeting point, especially senior citizens.
 
The temple is run and administered by the founder, Shri Sanjeev Mishra, and advised by a working committee who are involved in the running of the temple. Hanuman Mandir of New York (Jivan Jyoti Inc) is a Hindu Religious non-profit organization registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations to the temple are tax exempt.

Mission

Hanuman temple of New York aims to be a place of worship and be the spiritual resource center for the Hindu community of New York City, Long Island and surrounding areas and preserve and promote Hindu cultural values by providing individuals the path to peace and bliss through devotion, service and Vedic teachings.
